About me…

A Paper Press was founded after months of dreaming, learning and planning.

I have always loved putting pen to paper. I started writing in journals when I was in the third grade. It is so special to be able to look back at my prayer requests when I was 8, 16, 20 etc years old! They are books filled with evidence of the Lord’s faithfulness.

In college, I worked at a store that sold all kinds of paper goods. I remember having to learn the difference between all the print methods, since we sold custom stationery. I assumed the letterpress print method was done with enormous machines that only belonged in factories, not homes.

I got married in May of 2023, and in our first year of marriage, I lived in four different states—Tennessee, Ohio, Alabama, and finally Texas. For 2.5 years, I worked remotely in business development, an experience I’m deeply grateful for. It was a wonderful start to my post-grad career and taught me so much about myself. I had the privilege of working alongside amazing women, many of whom I still keep in touch with today. That chapter gave me the skills and confidence to take a leap into something I’ve always known and loved—PAPER!

After tons of research, I finally found my first press—a small tabletop model that I had to completely refurbish. I had zero clue what I was doing. ZERO clue. But I became obsessed with learning everything I could. I connected with another letterpress printer here in Dallas who has taught me so much and even helped me find my big press. It was incredible to hear the stories of the lives she (my press) has lived—all right here in Dallas! Learning this craft has been one of my proudest accomplishments, and now I get to share it with couples and clients who love paper as much as I do.
